Ruprecht Hattinger represents TransAdvantage in Austria and manages our relationship with the Austrian parent organizations of our respective US clients, as well as the coordination of the work with our US customers in the important markets of southern and south-eastern Europe.Ruprecht grew up in the entrepreneurial environment of a family-owned business in Salzburg, embracing the principles and values of the Mittelstand early on. He graduated with a MS and MBA in Industrial Engineering and Business Management from the TU Vienna (Austrian Institute of Technology), with a subsequent education in Computer Technology at Philips with emphasis on programming and system engineering.
The primary focus of his professional career has been in marketing of industrial products and solutions, where he significantly shaped the growth and development of leading organizations in Austria and abroad: In a number of executive positions, he successfully managed various business units of Carlo Galvazzi-OMRON, the major Japanese manufacturer of electrical and electronic controls components, from their European headquarters in The Netherlands. Subsequently, he served in similar roles for large Austrian entities in consumer goods and innovative composite materials. From 1990 to 2010, Ruprecht was president and CEO of Rittal Ges.m.b.H., the Austrian operations of the world’s leading manufacturer of electrical and electronic packaging solutions, systems and components. In addition to driving the exceptional growth of the company in his home market, he initiated, led and executed the company’s significant expansion into the growing markets of south-eastern Europe, ultimately supervising 10 subsidiaries and representatives.
In addition to his role in TA, where he focuses on the transatlantic business relationships of mutual clients, Ruprecht is active consulting with privately-held industrial clients as member of advisory councils and serves on the board of various charitable organizations. He is eager to contribute his extensive expertise and professional experience to foster the success of ambitious, growth oriented Austrian entrepreneurs on the national and international stage.
