OpportunityOur high-tech German client, a substantial engineering and factory automation supplier to the food and beverage industry is building major production lines for the European process facilities of, among many others, American based customers. In many cases, this requires direct interface with US based engineering resources of these customers. In addition, some of these customers have specified the use of certain mechanical devices and production machinery, provided exclusively by American companies, who, in turn, have no or only limited presence in Europe. The coordination of technical product integration and the facilitation of the supply chain further requires close collaboration.
Action
On behalf of the client, TransAdvantage facilitated the in-depth communication process between our client's German management and engineering staff and the American end customer and the US equipment partners.
Result
Several projects were successfully executed to the highest satisfaction of our client’s customer. In addition, our mutual work resulted in our client negotiating official, reciprocal licensing and cooperation agreements with certain mechanical equipment suppliers, effectively gaining our client unique access to important technology to augment its product and service portfolio to other European customers, and providing the American partner with reliable representation and a growing business opportunity in Europe.
