The Dayton RFID Convergence Center (DRCC) is the premier center providing business acceleration and intelligence to entrepreneurs and early stage companies in the radio frequency identification (RFID), sensor, data management and mining technology industries. Part of a regional effort to grow the emerging RFID sector, or cluster, in Southwestern Ohio.

In 1996 the Air Force Research Laboratory, Dayton Development Coalition, EMTEC, University of Dayton Research Institute and the State of Ohio Department of Development established the National Center of Composites Systems Technology (now known as the National Composites Center).  This exempt applied research and development organization’s goal is to unlock mainstream commercial markets and tap a vast resource in composites for new business opportunities. Since then NCC has become the model for commercialization scale-up and technology transfer management for manufacturers and its successes have generated significant returns. Today, NCC is recognized as the national center of excellence for the development and commercialization of cost competitive composite materials and manufacturing processes for the aerospace, defense, ground transportation, commercial and infrastructure markets.
